MorphoTrust opens new enrolment centres

MorphoTrust USA has opened several new centres for enrolment in the Transportation Security Administration’s TSA Pre programme. Enrolment is now available at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), Denver International Airport (DEN), as well as an off-airport IdentoGO Center by MorphoTrust in Raleigh, N.C., bringing the total number of enrolment centres to 302.

MorphoTrust provides enrolment for TSA Pre, which now serves more than 486,000 registered passengers. IdentoGO Centers serve as off-airport enrolment locations and offer Americans access to a number of identity-related services, such as the secure capture and transmission of electronic fingerprints.

“The growing number of enrolment centres across the country illustrates the increasing number of Americans that are discovering the improved travel experience after signing up for TSA Pre,” says Charles Carroll, MorphoTrust’s senior vice president for identity services.  “These travellers have expressed their satisfaction with the programme and the ease of enrolment process, which costs less than many other convenience-based travel and tourism programs.”

Travellers looking to enrol in the TSA Pre programme are encouraged to pre-enrol online to begin the application process and make an appointment at an enrolment centre. Once at the centre, trained agents collect biographic information and verify approved identity documents. Applicants’ fingerprints are then electronically captured on a live-scan device and securely transmitted to TSA for review. The TSA then completes the applicant vetting process and, assuming that the application is approved, issues a Known Traveller Number, which is sent in the mail. A US$85 application processing fee is required and the Known Traveler Number is valid for five years. The entire process takes about two weeks to complete.
