Strategic partnership for MorphoTrust and QLess

MorphoTrust USA and QLess have announced a strategic partnership to reduce lines and wait times at motor vehicle agencies (MVAs) and for other identity services.

According to the firms, the partnership will improve consumer convenience and organisational efficiency through the innovative use of technology. MorphoTrust, the provider of complete issuance solutions for approximately 80% of all US driver licenses, and QLess, a global provider of wait management solutions, will use a Software-as-a-Service solution for scheduling and queuing, equipping consumers to use their mobile phones, tablets and computers to check in and wait ‘in line’ virtually from wherever is most convenient.

MorphoTrust says: “Americans have long demanded shorter wait times wherever lines form, and want to take advantage of the technology provided through their smartphones. Likewise, government agencies and technology providers have been working together to implement solutions that eliminate inefficiencies in processes that require consumers’ time. The partnership between MorphoTrust and QLess will bring the companies’ solutions together to reduce the time customers need to physically spend obtaining identity services.”

Specifically, the line-management solution will be provided by QLess. MorphoTrust will provide program management and deployment oversight for new programs, as well as operational support and secure hosting services, as required. MorphoTrust will integrate its front-office solutions with the QLess system for seamless installation and operation.

The need to wait in physical lines or crowded waiting rooms is eliminated using a hosted, mobile phone-based service that creates a virtual line. Users enter their phone number and receive a text or call when it’s their turn. There is no need to download an app for the service or to access the Internet. Customers can enter the virtual line through a website, text message, phone call, touch-screen kiosk, or attendant. The kiosk and attendant options are designed for individuals without access to phones or computers, as these check-in methods allow users to conveniently wait and watch their place in line on digital screens within the location.

The joint solution will extend to federal government programs and be implemented at IdentoGO® Centers by MorphoTrust, the company’s services business for electronic fingerprinting and other identity services.

“MorphoTrust is the clear leader in identity solutions, with long-standing relationships in every state and many federal agencies,” says QLess CEO and founder Alex Bäcker. “This partnership is further demonstration of our companies’ understanding of the service needs of government agencies, and how to improve the customer experience to help agencies serve consumers more efficiently and effectively.”

“QLess has devoted its entire mission to improving customer experience and expectation management, offering leading solutions that serve many industries, including government,” says MorphoTrust CEO Bob Eckel. “We are excited to introduce solutions that meet the demands of today’s consumers and will revolutionise their government services experience.”
