TSA programme breaks the million mark

24/03/15

More than one million people are now enrolled in the Transportation Security Administration’s TSA Pre programme, according to MorphoTrust USA.

MorphoTrust is a trusted partner of TSA and the sole enrolment services provider for TSA Pre. MorphoTrust says it supports this increasingly popular programme by enrolling approximately 4,000 people per day in its growing network of more than 330 TSA Pre application centers, including locations at 31 airports and many IdentoGO Centers by MorphoTrust.

TSA Pre is an expedited screening program that enables low-risk travellers to experience faster, more efficient screening at 133 US airports. TSA Pre travellers may leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and their 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on in select screening lanes. Since the vast majority of travellers pose little-to-no threat, TSA Pre provides effective security while gaining efficiencies and improving the travel experience for a growing number of passengers every day.

“Today’s milestone is a testament to consumer demand for convenient and expedient travel experiences,” says Charles Carroll, senior vice president of enrolment services at MorphoTrust. “And while we celebrate the more than one million flyers who have enrolled to date and now experience the benefits of this program, we look forward to serving millions more as they enrol in TSA Pre in the months to come.”

“MorphoTrust is proud to have been a partner of the TSA for more than nine years, and to continue to support the rapid growth of this important program,” says Bob Eckel, CEO of MorphoTrust. “Between our growing network of customer enrolment centres and our popular mobile enrolment programmes, we are primed to further expand this program as its popularity continues.”
