Acuant partners with CONFIRM on mobile ID

Acuant, a provider of data capture and authentication solutions, today announced a partnership with Boston-based digital identity company, CONFIRM.

In a statement, Acuant said the partnership will create one of the industry’s most comprehensive cloud-based ID verification and authentication solutions.

CONFIRM will tap Acuant’s unparalleled global document library to enable CONFIRM’s ID authentication capabilities to drive safer transactions for its customers operating in a global environment. Acuant has the industry’s largest ID document library with over 6,000 global documents for credential management, including identity documents from over 200 countries.

“CONFIRM has a passion for making the mobile user experience simpler, safer and more secure, a passion that we share,” said Steve Maloney, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Strategy of Acuant. “Identity fraud is a serious threat and now that companies are conducting more transactions online, it is imperative that every transaction is conducted securely. Our partnership with CONFIRM is a great representation of our preferred partnership model.”

CONFIRM allows for secure transactions between businesses and people by linking physical ID documents to digital identities through mobile SDKs and RESTful APIs. CONFIRM’s software uses advanced machine learning and computer vision technologies to dynamically authenticate identity documents by inspecting hidden microprint and advanced security patterns, such as holograms, watermarks, and perforations. CONFIRM has deep experience and focus on mobility and payment solutions.

“Enterprises need to make it a priority to provide a secure environment for their customers,” said Bob Geiman, CEO and Co-Founder of CONFIRM. “We are confident that our partnership with Acuant will ensure that businesses can build a community of security and trust with their customers.”
