Online event to explore advances in countering document fraud


A unique group of identity document experts are set to discuss trends in countering document fraud in the latest online event to be hosted by the Festival of Identity on Thursday, 14 May.

Entitled "Cutting Edge Advances in Countering Document Fraud", it will examine how next-generation security documents are being designed to thwart the fraudsters, the problem of lookalike fraud and morphing and automated detection of fraud.

Secure physical ID documents, such as ePassports or driving licences, are crucial for governments wanting to identify their citizens.But these gold-standard credentials are an attractive target for fraudsters.
