Access IS' TripTick certified as Visa Ready

Access-IS has announced that its TripTick device has been certified as Visa Ready for contactless payments. The 3-in-1 device now reads barcodes, NFC/RFID devices and takes cEMV contactless payments; all from a single point of presentation.

TripTick offers EMV Level 2 certification, allowing for applications where contactless payments are required. It offers PCI and SRED compliance for contactless payments using Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover schemes. In addition, it also offers the reading of 1D/2D barcodes and RFID/NFC tickets and tokens from mobile phones, tablets, wearables, contactless cards and paper in any orientation.

With vast experience making ticket readers the team at Access-IS understand the need for a truly intuitive customer experience. This is where TripTick excels, unlike other solutions there is a single customer touchpoint for all media; Passengers no longer need to search for the correct place to scan a ticket, present their travel card or offer their mobile device for payment. Not only does this make the customer journey more pleasurable it speeds up passenger throughput.

With installations currently underway in capital cities and regional transport authorities TripTick is becoming the device of choice for operators who want to offer flexibility and the ability to safeguard for future developments in ticketing.

Talking about the certification, Cliff Hunter, Head of transport sales at Access-IS said “We’ve designed TripTick to have a small footprint and low profile for easy integration into kiosks, ticket machines, turnstiles and access gates.” He continued “becoming Visa Ready marks the final step to delivering the complete solution.”
