Mexico launches digital driver's licence app


Mexican officials have confirmed that the country has launched its first digital driver's licence app.

The Secretary of Mobility of Oaxaca stated last week that obtaining the digital license is very easy to transfer from a plastic licence.

 We are a Mexican provider for identification technologies Latin ID has confirmed that it has provided the solution.

"Latin ID has over 31 years of experience working with different projects in different States of Mexico by providing identity solutions. One of the States we currently have a contract is the State of Oaxaca, we provide the system for the issue of driver’s license", the company told Security Document World.  

"Due the current lockdown authorities in Oaxaca decided to launch a digital driver's licence app developed by Latin ID. This is the first digital driver's licence app in Mexico", said the company", added the company spokesman.
