Entrust launches Sigma DS4

16/11/20

Entrust, a leading provider of trusted identities, payments and data protection, announced the Sigma DS4 Printer for instant financial issuance. Designed to enable banks, credit unions and retailers to instantly issue secure, flat financial cards, the Sigma DS4 printer sets the standard for simplicity, security and smart features.

“The intuitive user interface means that branch personnel will spend less time managing the printer and more time serving their customers, while the industry leading security features mean they can rest easy knowing sensitive customer data is secure.”

Entrust Sigma Financial Card Printers are specifically designed for today’s cloud environments and have the ability to easily issue the most secure financial cards in the world. With the growing demand for contactless technology solutions, Sigma systems make it easy for banks and credit unions to provide permanent, fully activated cards through drive-up service and drive-thru windows – providing an instant and convenient card-user experience when a replacement card is needed.

The Sigma DS4 is Entrust’s most user-friendly financial card printer, with an intuitive dashboard that lets users see print status, order supplies, check cleaning status, update firmware, or contact help – all from a mobile device.

“Entrust has paved the way for direct-to-card issuance technology for years, and the Sigma DS4 just raised the bar even higher. Financial institutions will be blown away by the capabilities of this unique solution,” said Tony Ball, senior vice president of instant issuance at Entrust. “The Sigma DS4 allows financial institutions flexibility to meet the needs of card users now and into the future – from instant delivery of replacement cards via the drive-up or drive-thru to managing supplies and maintenance remotely – all so that the printer is ready to go when a card user needs it most.”

The Entrust Sigma DS4 system features:

Simple: From its out-of-the-box experience to intuitive troubleshooting, Sigma solutions put the end-user first with its printer dashboard that exponentially improves the end-user experience and reduces calls to help desk. Additionally, Sigma printers come with enhanced supplies such as cleaning kits and printhead protectors.
Secure: Includes top of the line security features such as the trusted platform module, secure boot ensuring seamless scalability with our PCI-CP certified cloud.
Smart: Modularity brings exceptional flexibility to meet all card issuance needs, with the multi-hopper design with removable cassettes for simple access, and the ability to quickly adopt future modules as Entrust continues to enhance its desktop technology.

“Banks, credit unions and retailers are looking for solutions that put cards in the hands of their customers with speed and ease. The Entrust Sigma DS4 printer supports these efforts with a secure financial card solution designed for the cloud,” said Chris Saxton, product marketing leader at Entrust. “The intuitive user interface means that branch personnel will spend less time managing the printer and more time serving their customers, while the industry leading security features mean they can rest easy knowing sensitive customer data is secure.”

“We’re excited for the launch of the Sigma DS4 Financial Card Printer. For our banking customers, instant financial card issuance is an essential part of the service experience they deliver for their account holders. Entrust’s new secure card issuance hardware, combined with its industry leading Instant Financial Card Issuance Software platform, supports this experience with the next generation of secure, modular, and user-friendly issuance systems,” said Josh Dunbar, President of Elliott Data Systems, an Entrust channel partner.
