Datacard acquires long time partner

Datacard Group has announced the acquisition of its long time partner Datacard South Pacific Pty (DCSP).

Previously a Datacard Group distributor and joint venture affiliate, DCSP provides pre- and post-sales support services for the range of Datacard Group’s secure ID and card personalisation systems and software in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

As part of the new organisation, Datacard Group has announced that Michael Robertson has been appointed regional director – South Pacific.

Robertson has held sales and services roles with DCSP since joining the organisation in 1999. Prior to that, Robertson worked with one of Datacard Group’s largest customers in the South Pacific, Leigh Mardon (now ABNote).   He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, and is currently completing his MBA from Monash University in Melbourne.
