Citizens, in no matter what part of the world, seek a certain level of trust from their government when it comes to the protection of their personal identities and information. Whether it’s driver’s or professional licenses, birth certificates, taxpayer ID numbers, or other personally identifiable information (PII), citizens rely on governments to safeguard their information and keep it from being used for malicious purposes.
