Sidenote:

In the first nine months of 2007, Georgia issued 300,959 ID cards and 207,695 passports, according to the Civil Registry Agency (CRA) of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

According to CRA the largest quantity of ID cards (82,739) and passports (76,523) was issued in Tbilisi.

All citizens of Georgia (16 years old and over) are obliged to receive ID Cards. The document is free of charge.
