Turkey taps Gemalto for personalisation

 

Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has selected Gemalto’s Coesys Issuance system for the personalisation of new ePassports.

Gemalto has deployed the Coesys Issuance personalisation system in two service centres in Turkey: one located in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the other housed in the Turkish Police centre in Ankara. Gemalto has also trained staff operating the system.

 “We chose Gemalto for its experience in the personalisation and in the successful deployment of many ePassports programmes worldwide,” says Ambassador Naci Koru, Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.”Its ability to deliver the solution in a short time frame enabled us to meet our deadline of 1 June 2010.”
