An unnamed European country has selected SuperCom’s Magna solution for the production, management and personalisation of its biometric passports.
The agreement, valued at US$1.5 million, is initially for a 16-month pilot programme in which SuperCom will produce personalised passports that include personal details, photo identification, digital signature and biometric data
Eli Basson, VP, International Project Solutions, SuperCom, says: “We anticipate that this relationship will continue beyond the 16-month pilot stage and become a multi-year contract. We believe this is a growing business area which we have leveraged from our existing international ID governmental projects.”
This latest contract follows a similar deal for SuperCom with another European country in April this year.
