TWIC enrolment centre in Guam to open

 

A TWIC enrolment centre is set to open in Guam on 4 September, bringing the number of enrolment centres in US territory to 147.

Enrolment for the credential began last year, and centres have been opening throughout the US to cope with applications.

According to recently released statistics for the Department of Homeland Security, the number of pre-enrolments for TWIC throughout the US had reached 509, 041 by 27 August 2008, and the number of enrolments had grown to 469, 877. An estimated 419,196 cards have been printed and 292, 812 cards activated.
