XIRING notches up German health contract
XIRING has scooped a deal to deliver 7,500 Xi-Plus 5 eHealth terminals to the German market during 2011.
According to the company, the German eHealth programme involves the deployment of 80 million new-generation eHealth cards, accompanied by the development of the overall infrastructure. Started in 2009, this programme had been suspended during 2010, and its resumption from the month of April 2011 was officially announced in late February.
The Secure Terminal Xi-Plus 5 is marketed in Germany by XIRING’s partners who embed their own software solutions. Certified by Gematik and the BSI, this is CC-EAL3+ approved and meets the mobility requirements of German doctors.
