Cross Match to hold L SCAN Guardian Livescan launch

Banner

Cross Match Technologies is hosting an event to launch its L SCAN Guardian livescan device on 18 May in Brussels, Belgium. The L SCAN Guardian is a ten-print livescan hardware and software system that the company claims sets a new standard for speed, weight, mobility and functionality.

The device itself measures 6 inches wide, 6 inches deep and 4.7 inches high. It also weighs just four pounds, the company claims, meeting the mandatory physical and performance requirements specified in the U.S. federal government’s Challenge to Industry issued in September 2005.

L SCAN Guardian automatically captures and segments an individual’s ten-print images, evaluates the image quality of each fingerprint image, displays on a computer screen the fingerprint images, and formats the captured data into FBI compliant electronic fingerprint transaction records. This process takes less than 15 seconds, the supplier says, and the overall package is ideal for visa applications that require ID flat capture.
