Brunei’s Department of Immigration and National Registration, Ministry of Home Affairs has officially launched a fingerprint-enabled Auto-Gate solution at the arrival hall in Brunei International Airport.
Passengers’ fingerprints are to be checked against those stored within their biometric passport or national identity card.
The next immigration post to receive the gates, according to local reports (Borneo Bulletin), will be the Muara Ferry Terminal. This is expected sometime later this year.
