According to local news reports, the Kenyan Ministry of Immigration and Registration of Persons is about to re-launch its delayed ePassport program.
The department is expected to announce a call for expression of interest for printing of the country’s ePassports.
The original tender was reportedly cancelled in February, even though prospective contractors had submitted their bids – this move was reportedly carried out so as to incorporate other international security features to help make the new passports meet international standards.
