Armenian police get ID approval

 

Armenia’s National Assembly has approved changes to its laws on refugees and asylum to give police the power to issue biometric ID documents to refugees.

In the past, refugees were issued both a refugee ID and a travel document. These have since been combined in a single document similar to the Armenian passport that can be used for domestic and international trips.
