MorphoTrak scoops Frost & Sullivan award
Frost & Sullivan has presented MorphoTrak with the 2011 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for company of the year in recognition of its biometrics and identity management solutions that give it a key competitive advantage. MorphoTrak’s international parent, Morpho, is the world’s leading provider of identification and biometric technology.
Some of MorphoTrak’s products and services include airport and transportation security systems; biometric system integration; law enforcement AFIS systems and services; mobile ID for border management, law enforcement and commercial applications; multi-modal biometric systems; personal identity products and services; physical and logical access control products and services; and security automation processes.
The company says that the fingerprint recognition technologies it has developed have been ranked number one in accuracy and interoperability in evaluations conducted by the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST), MINEX II (Match-on-Card), and in ongoing MINEX evaluations. Its multi-biometric matching system, MorphoBSS(TM), is a software-based, hardware-independent core biometric solution.
"MorphoTrak continues to design enhanced product lines that gear its customers up not only for existing constraints and requirements, but for those anticipated in the future," says Frost & Sullivan senior research analyst Neelima Sagar. "Over the coming years, MorphoTrak will push biometric identification beyond the now-existing finger, face, iris and palm identification to advanced multi-biometric identification systems."
Sagar adds: "Collaboration is one of the company’s most powerful strategies, reinforcing its position as a global leader in multi-biometrics. It understands that anticipating the requirements of the market, thinking ahead of the situation, managing change, and providing an efficient response is required to maintain its leadership in North America."
