The Swiss National Bank has instructed Orell Füssli Security Printing to commence printing  the new, ninth issue of Swiss banknotes.

According to Orell Füssli, this order is of strategic significance to the company. The firm says:  “Printing this ninth issue will contribute to the healthy utilisation of the security printing facility’s capacity in years to come.”

The order, which has been placed for the first print run of 50-franc notes, is in line with the production volume on which Orell Füssli has based its planning.
