Bartronics India has unveiled four smart card-based products at this week’s Smartcards Expo 2008, taking place in Delhi.
The products include:
· BIL-COS – an off-the-shelf smart card operating system designed for use in driving licenses and national ID applications;
· BIL-CAMP – an off-the-shelf Smart Card for campus applications;
· BIL-BLUE ICE – an off-the-shelf Smart Cards Operating System for applications in the financial and mass transit markets;
· BIL-SIM – a SIM card for South Asian GSM operators and service providers.
According to Indian finance portal moneycontrol.com, the four products are targeted at embedded application developers and software companies to assist in developing applications using smart cards.
With the launch of the products, Bartronics aims to strengthen its position in the Indian smart card market.
The Indian smart card industry is estimated to be growing at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 30%.
