Suprema revenues double in 2008

Suprema, a provider of fingerprint recognition technology and ePassport readers, has announced that its 2008 revenue increased 100% on 2007 thanks to growth in global sales and the successful launching of new businesses such as live scanners and electronic passport solutions.

For the year ended 31 December 2008, the company reported KRW 22.4 billion (US$16.22 million) in sales and KRW 10.0 billion (US7.24 million) in operating profit.

In the coming year, the company says it expects strong growth in the live scanner and electronic passport solutions markets internationally.
