Prooftag makes international push
French authentication firm
Prooftag is reporting international success driven by recognition from a number of international anti-counterfeiting associations.
Recognition by the likes of North American Security Products Organization (NASPO), Document Security Alliance (DSA), Anti-Counterfeiting Group (ACG), International Authentication Association (IAA) and Eurosmart is an important step towards building a presence for its Bubble Tag product in the European, African and Asian markets.
Bubble Tag is designed for document security and brand protection.
“Marking its own commitment to this issue, the Chinese government has chosen to take a proactive approach aligning itself with Bubble Tag through the China Anti-Counterfeiting Technology Association (CATA) agreement, says the company.
It adds: “Having attracted more than 30 French and foreign wine producers along with companies including well-known brands in the luxury sector, important administration groups and African governments, the Bubble Tag is developing into a key international player in traceability, authentication and anti-fraud. Prooftag earns 70% of its revenue abroad.”
According to the company, this international success has attracted investors who brought 8 million euros to the group via fundraising in January 2011. This injection of money into the company is intended to grow its international market share in both developed and emerging markets.
“Bubble Tag is recognised internationally, enabling Prooftag revenue to grow 60% since 2009,” says Franck Bourrieres, director of Sales and Marketing, Prooftag.
